Scholarship

The provision of scholarships by the State Polytechnic of Malang (Politeknik Negeri Malang) to students is part of the Student Affairs department (Department III) aimed at supporting the welfare of the students at the institution. The funding sources for these scholarships include government allocations in the form of budgetary funds (DIPA), social foundations, and private companies. The scholarship allocation is done routinely every year, with the number of recipients adjusted based on the allocated quotas provided by the government, social foundations, or private companies.

Types of Scholarships at Polinema

Bidikmisi Scholarship
BIDIKMISI is financial assistance for economically disadvantaged prospective students who demonstrate strong academic potential to pursue higher education at distinguished programs in universities and graduate on time. Polinema State Polytechnic, as a public institution, is entrusted by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education to provide BIDIKMISI scholarships to its students. The BIDIKMISI scholarship program at Polinema covers tuition fees and includes a monthly stipend of Rp 700,000. This program is intended for students pursuing Diploma 3 and Applied Bachelor degrees across various fields of study.

The Academic Achievement Scholarship (PPA), abbreviated as such, is a scholarship program provided by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti). It is aimed at D3 and D4 students who have completed at least two semesters of study and is specifically intended for high-achieving students whose parents cannot afford their educational expenses. The funding allocated by the Directorate General of Higher Education is a minimum of Rp 300,000 per student per month.

The “Affirmative Action Scholarship” is one of the scholarship programs offered by the Education Fund Management Agency (LPDP), consisting of scholarships for Special Needs/Disabled individuals, Affirmation Regional Scholarships, Underprivileged Scholarships, and Scholarships for Islamic Students. These scholarships are available for master’s and doctoral level education. The components of the funding cover registration fees, tuition fees, book allowances, research expenses, international seminar fees, publication costs for international journals, and support expenses.
The provision of this scholarship is a tangible expression of YTA’s concern for the national education sector. For this year, a quota of 550 undergraduate students from 34 selected universities across Indonesia has been established to receive the Toyota Astra Scholarship amounting to Rp250,000 per month. The purpose of granting this scholarship is to assist high-achieving students in completing their studies within the designated time frame.
The Regional Government Scholarship (Beasiswa Pemda)” is a scholarship aid provided by the District/City and Provincial Governments for financially disadvantaged yet academically accomplished students with a minimum GPA of 3.00.

Djarum Beasiswa Plus is an achievement-based scholarship program organized by the Djarum Foundation and aimed at fourth-semester students from all fields of study in universities collaborating with the Djarum Foundation. Currently, the State Polytechnic of Malang is registered as a partner institution for the Djarum Beasiswa Plus program.

Recipients of the Djarum Beasiswa Plus receive scholarship funds for one year along with various soft skills training sessions focusing on leadership. These training sessions include Nation Building, Character Building, Leadership Development, Competition Challenges, and International Exposure. Through this training, the Beswan Djarum (the term for recipients of the Djarum Beasiswa Plus program) are expected to excel not only in academics (hard skills) but also in soft skills, enabling them to become future leaders who are competent both intellectually and emotionally.
