History of Polinema

Malang State Polytechnic, originally called the Engineering Diploma Education Program, Brawijaya University, was opened based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, MENDIKBUD No. 03/DJ/Kep/1979, founded by the Indonesian Government through World Bank funding with Swiss experts.

1982

The campus organizational structure is regulated through Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia No. 59 of 1982, named the Non-Degree Faculty of Technology, Brawijaya University, and it began accepting the first batch of students through 4 (four) departments, namely the Department of Electronics Engineering, the Department of Electrical Engineering, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and the Department of Civil Engineering

1986

The Department of Telecommunication Engineering, the Department of Accounting, and the Department of Business Administration were opened. The Department of Accounting and the Department of Business Administration received assistance from The Australian Project with Experts from Australia.

1987

Chemical Engineering was opened.

1991

Through the Minister of Education and Culture Decree No. 0313/O/1991 on the Arrangement of Polytechnics within State Universities and Institutes, Politeknik Malang was designated as an institution under the University of Brawijaya and named Politeknik Universitas Brawijaya, which offers Diploma III (D-III) educational programs with 7 (seven) departments

2004

Based on the Minister of National Education Decree No. 147/O/2004, Politeknik Universitas Brawijaya has gained independent status and is now known as Politeknik Negeri Malang (POLINEMA). Subsequently, on September 21, 2004, through the Directorate General of Higher Education Decree No. 3803/D/T/2004, a new program, D4 Construction Engineering Management, was opened in the Department of Civil Engineering.

2005

On June 24, 2005, through the Directorate General of Higher Education Decree No. 2001/D/T/2005, a new program, D3 Information Management, was opened in the Department of Information Technology. On August 29, 2005, through the Directorate General of Higher Education Decree No. 2964/D/T/2005, a new program, D4 Electronic Automotive Engineering, was opened in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.

2006

On June 13, 2006, through the Directorate General of Higher Education Decree No. 1920/D/T/2006, a new program, D4 Electrical Systems, was opened in the Department of Electrical Engineering. On July 12, 2006, through the Directorate General of Higher Education Decree No. 2690/D/T/2006, a new program, D4 Management Accounting, was opened in the Department of Accounting. On September 8, 2006, through the Directorate General of Higher Education Decree No. 3414/D/T/2006, a new program, D4 Marketing Management, was opened in the Department of Business Administration.

2008

On December 31, 2008, through the Directorate General of Higher Education Decree No. 4679/D/T/2008, a new program, D4 Digital Telecommunication Network Engineering, was opened in the Department of Electrical Engineering.

2009

On August 28, 2009, through the Directorate General of Higher Education Decree No. 1522/D/T/2009, a new program, D4 Electronics Engineering, was opened in the Department of Electrical Engineering.

2010

On May 21, 2010, through the Directorate General of Higher Education Decree No. 50/D/O/2010, a new program, D4 Computer Engineering, was opened in the Department of Information Technology.

2014

On April 29, 2014, through the Directorate General of Higher Education Decree No. 34/E/O/2014, a new program, D4 Production and Maintenance Mechanical Engineering, was opened in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.

2015

On June 10, 2015, through the Decree of the Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education No. 381/M/KP/VI/2015, a new program, D4 Industrial Chemical Technology, was opened in the Department of Chemical Engineering.

On November 18, 2015, through the Decree of the Secretary General No. 120/KPT/I/2015, a new program, D4 Finance, was opened in the Department of Accounting.

2016

On September 13, 2016, through the Decree of the Secretary General No. 340/KPT/I/2016, a new program, D3 English Language, was opened in the Department of Business Administration, and a new S2 Applied Master’s Program in Electrical Engineering was opened in the Department of Electrical Engineering.

2017

On June 13, 2017, through the Decree of the Secretary General No. 339/KPT/I/2017, a new program, D3 Road, Bridge, and Water Building Construction Technology, was opened in the Department of Civil Engineering.
